A Perfect Day for a Road Race

Saturday Oct. 6th was a just about perfect day for a road race. With a nip in the air but no wind, 91 runners toured the scenic back roads of Shelburne and Charlotte for the 40th running of the Green Mountain Athletic Club’s (GMAA) Art Tudhope 10K Road Race. The field included a couple dozen VSGA runners, women and men from 50 to 83. With the fall foliage approaching a stunning peak both in VT and across Lake Champlain in the Adirondacks the conditions were inspiring for both the highly competitive runners (3 VSGA runners finished in the top ten overall!) and those who were just out for a good time. Congratulations to all the runners who came out for this race.

VSGA was once again proud and grateful to partner with GMAA for this fun conclusion to our season. VSGA also extends sincere thanks to GMAA’s terrific Race Coordinator Ian McCallum-Cook, his crew of volunteers and VSGA Board members Diana Woods and John Scheer who were also on hand to make things run smoothly.

You can see GMAA’s official results here. VSGA will be posting the official medal results soon so please check back here. You can also see lots of great photos from the race on the VSGA Facebook page.

Medalist are now available.
