The 2018 Vermont Senior Games 10K Road Race will be held at 9:00 am on Saturday, October 6, 2018 in partnership with the Green Mountain Athletic Association (GMAA) and the 45th Annual Art Tudhope 10K.
This race will be a Certified (VT13007JK) 10K out and back through Charlotte. It is a fast course with a mix of dirt and paved roads and pleasant scenery – apple orchards, views along Lake Champlain, and the covered bridge at the turn around point. The start and finish is at Shelburne Beach and proceeds along Bostwick, Orchard, and Lake roads. Water stops are at 2 and 4 miles.
Anyone at least 50 years old by December 31, 2018 may dual-register on the GMAA registration form for the 2018 Vermont Senior Games 10K Road Race Championship. Dual-registration makes runners 50+ eligible to win Gold, Silver or Bronze medals for men and women in each 5-year age group. It also makes you eligible to qualify for the 2019 National Senior Games to be held in Albuquerque, NM.
Non-Vermont residents are eligible to compete; Vermont is an “Open” state.
