The 2017 Vermont Senior Games 10K Road Race will be held at 9:00 am on Saturday, October 7, 2017 in partnership with the Green Mountain Athletic Association (GMAA) and the 44th Annual Art Tudhope 10K.

This race will be a Certified (VT13007JK) 10K out and back through Charlotte. It is a fast course with a mix of dirt and paved roads and pleasant scenery – apple orchards, views along Lake Champlain, and the covered bridge at the turn around point. The start and finish is at Shelburne Beach and proceeds along Bostwick, Orchard, and Lake roads. Water stops are at 2 and 4 miles.

Anyone at least 50 years old by December 31, 2017 may dual-register for the 2017 Vermont Senior Games 10K Road Race. Non-Vermont residents are eligible to compete; Vermont is an “Open” state.

To dual-register for the 2017 VT Senior Games 10K Road Race and the 44th Annual Art Tudhope 10K, you must register directly on the GMAA website. It is important that you do not check off the “opt-out” box and you will automatically be dual-registered. It won’t cost any more to dual-register.

You have 3 registration options. Pre-registration is encouraged.

  • Online registration is open until October 5th on the GMAA website.
  • Complete a paper registration form and mail it by October 3rd to: GMAA, PO Box 194, Essex Junction, VT 05453.
  • Race day registration at Shelburne Beach in Shelburne, Vermont is available from 8:00 a.m. – 8:45 a.m.

ENTRY FEE:         $10 Pre-registration/ $15 race day

PRIZES: GMAA –  Top male and female in each age group  VSGA – Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places, by gender and age group.
